The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is offering free transit rides from 6 p.m. Dec. 31 to 9 a.m. on Jan. 1.

That includes direct transit service from the Centennial Hills and Summerlin areas to downtown Las Vegas.

The Centennial Hills park and ride center is located on Grand Montecito Parkway, near Durango Drive and Elkhorn Road.

The Summerlin (Westcliff) center is located at 25 S. Durango Drive, just south of Summerlin Parkway.

Express transit service from both park and rides leave approximately every 20 minutes between 5 p.m. Dec. 31 until 4 a.m. Jan. 1.

Buses will take riders to Neonopolis on Las Vegas Boulevard where they can transfer to the Deuce on the Strip if they wish to continue to the Las Vegas Strip.

The Deuce on the Strip double-deck service will operate on the Strip until it is closed to traffic.

At that time, the Deuce on the Strip service will operate from the Fremont Street Experience to Mandalay Bay at approximately a 20-minute frequency. Additionally, the Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) will operate from the Las Vegas Premium Outlets North to the South Strip Transfer Terminal primarily via Industrial Road/Dean Martin Drive at a 20-minute frequency until 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
