Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you get to enjoy some time off with family and friends.  We’ll be here for you playing Christmas music to put you in the holiday mood!

The annual Magical Forest at Opportunity Village is open and Melanie and Zach will be there to greet you this Friday night!

I love cooking… just because I love eating!  Here’s a recipe for a holiday treat.

CHOCOLATE SNOWBALLS
Submitted by Teri - Highlands

1 pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
½ cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup unsweetened baking cocoa
½ cup finely chopped almonds
1 tsp. almond extract
60 kisses, unwrapped
¾ cup powdered Imperial Sugar
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, egg, flour, cocoa, almonds, and extract until soft dough forms. Shape dough into 60 ¾-inch balls. Wrap each ball around one kiss candy. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool slightly, roll in powdered Imperial Sugar. Cool completely about 15 minutes. Re-roll in powdered Imperial Sugar. Store tightly covered.

Have a great holiday!
