Ben Affleck made headlines this past week when his movie Argo won an Oscar for Best Picture. He’s also been in films people have remembered him in over the past couple of decades like The Town (2010), Pear Harbor (2001), Dogma (1999) and Dazed and Confused (1993). Now I don’t know how you were first introduced to Mr. Affleck but I remember back in like 5th grade, my teacher showed us a series in class called The Voyage of the Mimi that was a television series back in the mid to late 80s that was about a young boy named C.T. Granville (young Affleck) that set out on an expedition with his grandfather and a crew of researchers to study whales. I’m pretty sure they end up getting stranded somewhere and that’s when the educational part comes into play because the show gave real-life scenarios on survival.
