The first Christmas Lisa and I spent together, 18 years ago, we didn't have much money. We scraped together enough money to buy a tree, but the ornaments were homemade. I made a star for the top by taping some aluminum foil to a chunk of cardboard. In the years since, I've offered to buy a new star, but Lisa wants to keep that crumply old foil one. I guess we're stuck with it!
